STEAM EDUCATION ANIMATION PORTFOLIO

What is sound and how do we hear it?
The story of sound is one of vibration, pressure, and moving molecules. This video uses animation and sound effects to explain what sound is, how humans hear sound, and what creates different sound waves. The video was created for the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science Flame Challenge. Enjoy!

How Humans Hear Sound
This animation shows how sound enters the ear, vibrates the small bones in the inner ear, and shows how those vibrations are translated into sound by the cochlea!

Spinal Cord Neuron Development
This animation provides a simple overview of neural development. Neurons are fascinating cells in your brain and spinal cord that are essential for thought, sensation, emotion, and behavior! In this animation, you will learn how embryonic cells become the neurons in the developing spinal cord.

*This was one of the first animations that I made and it is a bit rough around the edges because it was hand drawn using Animation-ish software.
